And so we face the final curtain...

So today is it, our last Premiership game, our last performance, no encore!

Back to the Championship next season, back to following Wolves via news articles, write ups, and tweets (this is a new one for me as the last time we were in the Championship League I didn't have Twitter!)

As an overseas fan one of the hardest things to relegation is not being able to watch any matches. Whilst we have been in the Premiership almost every match is televised and by tuning in to some very odd TV stations we, the overseas supporters, were able to watch almost every match. Now it'll have to be late night highlights! It'll be highlights knowing the score and due to time differences, it'll be very late, known, highlights!

So this makes relegation all the more sour. Of course it's not as bad as some clubs and their difficulties, Rangers for one and Portsmouth who are still unsure if they will be around much longer!

On that note should they still be around in the summer they are scheduled to play against GFA, that is the Gibraltar Football Association, yes, Portsmouth are scheduled to fly down to Gibraltar and play the Gibraltar national side!

On the up side we do have a confirmed new manager coming in, with respect to TC I think this really needed to be looked at and whilst I don't know much about our new gaffer we did really need someone to
come in and take control. I am really pleased to hear that TC is likely to stay on after all he has given a lot to Wolves and I bet has a lot more to offer.

Again on the up side we have a new stand which looks amazing and more importantly no serious financial difficulties, surely a big thank you is owed to Steve Morgan and Jez for that!

Also on the up side WE ARE THE WOLVES and I feel confident that next season will result in more wins than losses (makes for a better season) and more excitement as we go for the title and in doing so get promoted to the Premiership once again!

So to end our season a win would be great, one last success in the Premiership before we bow out, reflect and rebuild, and come storming back into the Premiership come end of next season!

As the sun sets on the season our best players are off!

Oh well, we haven’t even got to the end of the season and most of our best players are off already, or rather, looking closely at their options...I realise we don’t stand a chance really but to already be looking at where they will be next season means the footy comes second, doesn’t it?

I can totally understand each individuals desire to remain in top flight football but when its being thought about whilst there’s still a few games to play and a very slim (almost non-existent I know) chance that we could stay up, yes I know we have to win every game and rely on others to lose so it’s certainly not likely...BUT it’s still possible!

What a season...start with flying colours, 7 points in three games...mid table here we come! Then it all went wrong and looking at us now is comical!

Struggle most of the season, kick out our manager without actually having a replacement well after the transfer window (sorry but doing this was ridiculous. I agreed with MM leaving but only if we did have a replacement with experience), now needing a Manager like MM to get us back up when we go down and to top it off lose our only defender (as in Hennessey to injury) for the last few games that we must win...hahahahahahaha its a comedy!

And now our best are all busy reading and negotiating...as I said in my last post Hennessey, Doyle, Fletcher and Jarvis are all sure to go, followed closely by the likes of Stevie Hunt!

Oh well next season we will hopefully be winning games, close to the top and watching some of the young talent coming through, (who we will then sell off), so it should make for better viewing all round.

Wolves v Arsenal

Oh well...Mr Footie didn’t give a prediction for our last game as he thought in not doing so we might have had a chance!

If only our actions could change a matches result!

Well tonight it’s another big one, a top team wanting to stay in the top 3 and looking for the kill. If they score first a lot more will follow, I reckon our only hope is that we, Wolves, score first and then don’t concede in the next few minutes that follow (or almost concede as per our last match). If we do this and then keep our heads up and go all out for the second who knows, we might just win.

Obviously to manage that we would need to score another before they start getting theirs in...seeing as we can’t keep a clean sheet! I am not blaming Hennessey at all, I honestly believe he will be one who will be leaving us end of season when, in all likelihood we go down. In fact I think we have lost many a game by margins that could easily be doubled if it wasn’t for Hennessey, it’s our defence which I think should be questioned.

And on that note (as in players leaving) I wonder who else will be jumping ship...Jarvis, Fletcher? Obviously Doyle is already checking out his options with the rumours going round that both Southampton and Reading are interested!

The irony of all of this is the fact that the ideal manager to get us up to the Premiership (should we go down of course) could be someone like, erm....let me think...oh yes...Mick McCarthy! Oh the irony of football!

So whilst I have no prediction from Mr Footie for tonight’s game I will perhaps unrealistically predict a win to Wolves...Wolves 3 – 2 Arsenal! (hahahahahahhaha)

A hopeful (perhaps dreaming) Wolf!
